He prides himself in taking a personal approach and centers his firm’s philosophy on the principles of zealous advocacy and service to others. His Bel Air law practice serves injured people throughout Maryland and focuses on personal injury cases such as auto accidents, slip and falls, work-related injuries and medical negligence. Mr. Moss has fundraised for the Sickle Cell Association of Harford and Cecil Counties, is a strong supporter of both the Girl and Boys Scouts. Mr. Moss is a graduate of Morehouse College, where he met his wife, a graduate of Spelman College. He received his law degree with honors from North Carolina Central University, School of Law. Mr. Moss sits on a local attorney grievance peer review panel and is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, Harford County Bar Association as well as the Maryland Association for Justice. He is a college dad with a Junior at Florida State University and enjoys his daughter's competitions in Tae Kwon Do. Following the call and charge of our founders, Most Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse and Charles I. Brown, on March 8, 2013, nine noble men embarked on the challenge of spreading Culture for Service and Service for Humanity to the Upper Chesapeake Region of Maryland. These nine noble men chartered what is now the Omicron Psi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Since its charter, the Omicron Psi Sigma Chapter has expanded its ranks to over 40 members. The chapter immediately began living up to the fraternity principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service through its many programs and initiatives. Although we have accomplished much in a short time; we understand that our journey is not done. There is so much more work to do as we follow one of most notable international agenda of "I Am My Brother's Keeper.” In the words of our 34th International President, Honorable Jonathan A. JEROME FERGUSON Contact Brother Jerome Ferguson Contact Omicron Psi Sigma Jerome W. Ferguson is a retired Director of Advanced Technologies at United Parcel Service. Advanced Technology includes Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones), Driverless Vehicles, and Robotics. Jerome was responsible for coordinating the exploration of Emerging Technology and their potential applications for UPS. Jerome was the founder of UPS Flight Forward UAV subsidiary. UPS Flight Forward Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS (United Parcel Service) focused on drone delivery. The company was formally launched in July 2019, and on October 1, 2019, became the first company to receive the Federal Aviation Administration's full Part 135 Standard certification, allowing the company to operate an unlimited remote-controlled drone delivery network in the United States. Jerome spent 35 years with UPS, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University College of Engineering-New Jersey, and a Master of Science in Management Information Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Jerome is currently board advisor for Pierce Aerospace Technologies which specializes in remote ID for unmanned aerial vehicles and board advisor for Honeycomb Digital which specializes in Integrated Software Applications. Jerome is also currently a Maryland Notary Public, Licensed Loan Signing Agent, and sole proprietor of Ferguson Settlement Services, LLC. He is highly skilled in guiding cross‑functional teams, optimizing daily operations, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, policies, and long‑term objectives. Throughout his career, Brother Ferguson has demonstrated a strong ability to conduct quality reviews and audits, develop and execute strategic plans, and drive organizational growth through improved operational processes. His expertise spans product planning, purchasing, supply chain management, and business operations. During his decade‑long tenure as Senior Director of Operations at Xerox/Conduent, Brother Ferguson earned recognition for his talent in evaluating existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing innovative process improvements that enhanced productivity and reduced costs. He now serves as the Category Manager for Professional Services at CareFirst, the largest not‑for‑profit health insurer in the Mid‑Atlantic region. A proud Baltimore native, Brother Ferguson graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute before earning his bachelor’s degree in Management Science from Coppin State University. He later completed his MBA at the University of Maryland University College and earned a certificate in Management Studies from Harvard University. Brother Ferguson is an active and dedicated member of the Omicron Psi Sigma Chapter, where he has served in numerous leadership roles, including Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Reporting Secretary, Historian, and Parliamentarian. Equally committed to his faith community, he has been a member of his church for more than 52 years, serving as Chair of the Finance Board, Chair of the Trustee Board, Deacon, President of the Men’s Fellowship, and President of the Ushers. The Founders, Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. The Founders deeply wished to create an organization that viewed itself as “a part of” the general community rather than “apart from” the general community. They believed that each potential member should be judged by his own merits, rather than his family background or affluence…without regard to race, nationality, skin tone or texture of hair. They desired for their fraternity to exist as part of an even greater brotherhood which would be devoted to the “inclusive we” rather than the “exclusive we”. From its inception, the Founders also conceived Phi Beta Sigma as a mechanism to deliver services to the general community. Rather than gaining skills to be utilized exclusively for themselves and their immediate families, they held a deep conviction that they should return their newly acquired skills to the communities from which they had come. This deep conviction was mirrored in the Fraternity’s motto, “Culture For Service and Service For Humanity”. Today, Phi Beta Sigma has blossomed into an international organization of leaders. No longer a single entity, members of the Fraternity have been instrumental in the establishment of the Phi Beta Sigma National Foundation, the Phi Beta Sigma Federal Credit Union and The Sigma Beta Club Foundation. He is currently transitioning into work centered on advocacy, community engagement, and policy reform, drawing on a comprehensive understanding of public safety, social justice, and institutional accountability. Bernard holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice and a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland, with additional training in clinical mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, and the mental health needs of law enforcement. In addition to his public safety background, Bernard holds multiple technical certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and CISA, equipping him to address modern information security and public safety challenges. A Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, he is uniquely positioned to support first responders and frontline professionals. A graduate of Kaplan University (now Purdue University Global) with a degree in Information Technology, he is recognized for his expertise in systems infrastructure, signal flow, live production ecosystems, and emerging immersive technologies, as well as for founding innovative ventures focused on digital experiences and advanced technical solutions.
